Primarius (head physician)

2003-2022 – Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology Znojmo

In the position of chief physician, I merged orthopedics and traumatology and expanded the department from 5 to 20 physician positions. We have performed more than 2,000 surgeries per year. In Znojmo, I built up a modern department. I have been involved in science, international research projects, research projects for the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, publishing and lecturing activities and last but not least I have trained many PhD students. In the department, I covered the entire spectrum of the specialty with my expertise, introduced spine surgery, introduced more than 50 new procedures, and was the first to perform many methods and operations in the Czech Republic.
